This course is the most recommendable to enjoy Higashiyama area. Take a walk from Yasaka-jinja Shrine/Maruyama Park to Kodai-ji Temple. Keep walking down to Ninenzaka Slope and Sannenzaka Slope, you'll get to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

Japanese sweets shops and Kyoto cuisine restaurants line up along Ninenzaka Slope and Sannenzaka Slope.

Visit ceramicware shops around Gojozaka Slope, Kiyomizuzaka Slope, and Chawanzaka Slope. You may find a perfect masterpiece of an artisan to take home.

Cherry blossoms in spring, illuminations in summer, turning leaves in autumn, and snowy landscapes in winter. There are always fun events throughout year.
